Sangen vi glemte (Mijjen vuelieh)
This was Frode Fjellheims first CD release from 1991. The album is still popular, and the music is often used in TV documentaries where arctic nature is the main theme.
The title "Sangen vi glemte" means "The songs we forgot". The music is based on the south saami joik as notated by Karl Tiren in his book "Die Lappische Volksmusik (1943)". 
The music on this CD is no reconstruction of what Tiren heard. It is modern, instrumental and focusing on some of the elements of the original joik. This gives you music that is vibrant, lyrical and beautiful.
